Neil Diamond: My Nemesis, My Hero

I never, ever thought I'd hear myself say this. Especially after catching The Varmint belting out "Heartlight" at the top of his lungs when he thought I wasn't home. But Neil Diamond's latest album 12 Songs, is just awesome.

The Varmint regularly plays it while we work and I'll be damned if it doesn't kick ass. I find myself hummin' and howlin' before I realize what I'm listening to - meanwhile Sir Furball (his hirsutely ways have returned, thank goodness) chuckles evilly over in the corner.

Apparently, producer Rick Rubin sold his soul to the devil. Everything he touches turns gold (or platinum); '70s icons are regularly resurrected to walk the earth as bonafide superstars.

Anyway, I strongly suggest you take a minute and plunk down some cash. 12 Songs is a great album, top-to-bottom. Definitely worth the investment.
